Imodium

Stomach not the greatest so have to resort to some Imodium plus. Major entices me up for a walk past some hydro-electric plants. Find some snow on a ridge so practice my alpine “walks”. Not the most energised day but at least got out. Weather changes in afternoon – cooler and a little wind and snow. Jamie's (of Project Himalaya) team arrive in Nyalam on their way to Everest base camp. Three mountains are “serviced” via this route – Everest, Cho Oyu & Shishapangma. Funny having to drag yourself through these dumps (and associated risks of getting sick) just to get to Base Camp and the mountain. These are the times when one needs to think of the end goal and accept that its all just part of the process. It will probably change over time as can be seen already by the new road and improved hotel. Major was surprised that we would be driving to base camp in a bus!
