Breaking news: Iñaki Ochoa SUMMITS Dhaulagiri - his 12th 8,000er!

(MountEverest.net/Madrid) Spanish climber Iñaki Ochoa de Olza has reached the summit of Dhaulagiri on a speed ascent. Iñaki topped-out today at 3:00 pm, local time - about 24 hours after setting off from BC, according to his home team. Iñaki has reported on bitter cold on the summit of his 12th, 8000er. I had the privelage of meeting Iñaki on Shishapangma in 2006, and hence will be following his progress on achieving his goal of climbing all 14 8,000m meter peaks - without oxygen or Sherpa support.
